One of the best Italian food by a Japanese in Japan. The atmosphere in the restaurant is calm and pleasant. The chef Doi san and his lovely wife really love Italian food and are always looking forward to try something new and the results are often really good. Is one of the few places I have been where the cuisine is made like an Italian good chef. If you close your eyes and eat his food you cannot recognize any difference if a professional Italian cook made it or him. I can tell because I am Italian and my family business is running a company since over 30 years around hospitality business. Not for everyone or fast food lovers. Great place, highly recommended.

Fois gras love! We had pan seared fois gras, local Hida mozzarella with orange salad, Hida beef/black pepper pasta, along with Green bean pasta and all was truly tasty. Way better than Many SF Bay Area establishments. The owner acquired this 100+ year old residence, refurbishing it into his love for Italian cooking and cuisine. Very friendly, very local, and very good! Great clean and welcoming accommodations with English menu.
